Hey guys! What’s up with you? It’s so lovely to be around here again!. Not posting for a while, I wanted to really do something nice and out of my box. Today, I would be having my first collaboration post with Meghan from Meghan’s teen life. Focus point— studying.
Studying or learning as a whole is something I feel we should normally enjoy, but for some of us, it’s the opposite. It’s some overwhelming task we have to do and just get over with. I do feel that way sometimes, but really, I know it shouldn’t be so. It should be different.
This was one of the reasons I decided to write today’s post. Because like it or not, the more we discuss about it and share thoughts, the more it feels like we’re gradually melting the iceberg. So please seat back and enjoy this interview between Meghan and I!
HI MEGHAN! IT’S NICE HAVING YOU HERE ON MY BLOG. FIRST OF ALL, I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW YOUR THOUGHTS OR VIEWS ON STUDYING.
Studying, for me, is nonexistent. So, when people talk about studying, I get so overwhelmed! I can’t imagine just sitting there attempting to memorize words every single day. I mean, I study on occasion, and I studied loads last year, but still less than I see others, but because my school is remote, my tests are open note. So, I don’t really need to put that extra pressure on myself to study.
HAVE YOU TRIED ANY READING TECHNIQUES OR STYLES?
Last year, I got really into mind maps! They are just so aesthetically pleasing, and they really mirror how my brain works. So, the flow of these notes and the helped me memorize and visualize the answers. Besides that, re-taking notes and making quizlets help me when I want to remind myself of a topic!
FROM A THIRD PERSON’S PERSPECTIVE, WHAT WOULD YOU TELL YOURSELF ABOUT STUDYING?
I would say “girl you need to get it together, sit your butt down and make some flash cards or something” because I am not doing as well as I’d like. Honestly, my first instinct is to blame it on the teachers, but I know deep down that I could be doing more, especially in the studying department.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SUBJECT?
My favorite subject is either French or English!
SOMETHING YOU WOULD LIKE TO ADRESS TO THE READERS..?
You really do get in what you put out. So, maybe if I wasn’t as stubborn about studying as I am, I’d be doing better. I’m just always so overwhelmed and tired from homework that spending anymore time focused on school would be counterproductive.
That’s a wrap! I hope you guys enjoyed this post. Don’t forget to comment and go over to Meghan’s blog to check out my interview. I hope y’all enjoy the rest of your week. Much love from my side✌🏻
