Dreams.
They sip into you and bubble through your veins.
Bringing an impulse for an answer quicker than is most times achiveable.
They give the hope and voice that keeps asking for more and seeking answers when to others, there was nothing to seek.
Dreams.
They are the dimensions no one else but you can see and understand,
Every intricate detail painted in your head.
They are easy to live in. Like a fresh breath of air.
Dreams.
They keep you on the edge of your sit. Your mind working like a clock.
Longing heart. Day dreams. Sheets of paper stained with ink of thoughts.
Dreams.
They bring frustration when trying to sketch out the picture in your head seems impossible.
Feel worthless when it feels like no one sees it. Broken and swept away.
Have the ability to grow distant.
Dreams.
They are what remain dreams and musings of the mind unless merged with reality.
They are all just dreams. Mere dreams.
So critic if you want to,
Shatter my ego if you want to.
Help me dream more if you want to.
They’re still all dreams.
Works of art in the making
I guess I would call what I just wrote some sort of poetry. Not written in the best manner, but I hope understandable and perhaps relatable.
A dream is an amazing thing to have. It’s a product of your mind after all. Special by holding so much potential and being a creation of your mind, but at the same time not so important if all they would be is to remain those dreams. (“They are what remain dreams and musings of the mind unless merged with reality. They are all just dreams. Mere dreams.”).
With freedom comes a test, or series of tests. A dream is a product of the freedom of your mind, and so it will be tested too. It has to do with not only realizing something you would like to do that your mind has revealed to you, but also making it actualize even with the difficulties that come with it (“They bring frustration when trying to sketch out that picture in your head seems impossible”).
Why should you keep fighting for your dream even with low support? It’s because first of all, the birth of that dream should be a reminder to keep going. Often times, what causes the clash of people mocking or be-littleling your dreams is because they don’t see the dream the same way you do and understand nothing about how you saw it, and so it’s your responsibility to show them eventually, when it’s all completed.
Second of all, it’s because if you face reproach to your dreams, having dreams are not an access or grant to no judgement from people.
Having a dream is potential energy. It could be so much more if you not only believe in it, but work towards it. It’s about having purpose and being driven by it, perseverance, artfully creating your work with passion and one of the most important of all, making decisions. Dreams come with responsibility and so, at the birth of any dream, be ready to dream more, but work harder.
Yours sincerely.
