WHAT REALLY IS SUCCESS?

Success has always been seen as that thing equivalent to luxury, money, clean expensive clothes and maybe ultimately peace of mind that you can do absolutely anything that you want because you can afford it.

Is that all there is to success, the monetary aspect? No, but it is only normal that for outstanding work, outstanding things also follow once the recognition is there. And so it does contribute to what defines success.

But what else is there to success? Your definition of success at one point of your life could be different from what it is for you now because of knowledge or enlightenment and realization that we constantly need to up our game. So it is for us as individuals. One person thinking success lies in being an accomplished ballerina, another thinking it is in having a multi-million making firm while for someone else, it could be their face on the television. But one thing that will be constant for all these three people in whatever path they take to what they feel is their calling, their final destination, success will be that moment of triumph when they beat themselves. Before the money comes, before honour comes, the exact moment of overcoming, I believe, is what success is.

Some Things, Regardless of Success Path, We Should Put in Mind To Consider Practicing.

1. Faith

Nothing works without faith or believe. If you don’t see yourself doing it, it’s not going to happen. The bible, while it used this verse to talk about God and not your dreams, describes faith in Hebrew 11 as the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. The only reason this verse was used as reference is to show the depth of what faith can and should be. It starts from your head and eventually manifests from a vision that nobody saw. This is also your reminder to grow your faith and trust in God.

2. Work

Working hard or working smart, you have to work. Exercise your brain, get your hands working, get your feet moving. The success does not just come to you but happens with what you do with what you’ve been gifted.

3. Perseverance

The first step is starting, which may or not be difficult depending on different people. But once you’ve done that, the real work starts with keeping up. Anyone can start anything, few people can continue. It’s like the saying “Many are called but few are chosen.” No amount of motivational words might make sense on some occasions to deal with the work when it feels like those quotes were said from an impractical brain high on sugar. But I hope you can find your own reason to keep going.

4. Support

Have role models you look up to and people that can assist you when you need help. Read that sentence again.

5. Focus

While learning from your role model’s story (especially if a celeb or distinct figure inaccessible to closely mentor you in person), keep your eyes focused on your growth and know when to pull back if it’s becoming more of idolising or feeling insecure that you can’t even start your own thing or focus on your growth. Your paths might just not be the same.

At Zino’s Hub, we would have some structure changes. First of all, while the blog would still be called Zino’s Hub, an important attachment will be added to it, this being The Light Zone. This is of great significance because it is in direct correlation with what the name Zino means.

Likewise, we would like to expand the blog and make it more of an army and creativity zone than a one-man thing. If you are interested in having your posts published here, you can send an email through our contact info and read our About page to have more knowledge on the kind of content promoted here. Over all, we hope that our new, additional name reflects in your life.
